that he is rapidly improving and if such progress continues he might make the

01/04/2008 HOOPS defeats Pelicans of
Takoradi

The boys are back again in winning form as it was a year ago, winning
their first game of the year and once again against the boys from the Western
Region. The game was like a revenge because HOOPS defeated them at their home
grounds a year ago. This time the game was played in Cape Coast and the boys
playing home had their pride at stake. The game was played at the

time each. The first quarter ended with the Pelicans leading 9-8. Half time saw
both sides tied at 20 points apiece. At the end of the of the day, HOOPS won
34-31. With the victory team morale is high against their counterparts from the
Western Region who pleaded that they be given another chance to redeem
themselves. Another game has been organized which will take place in Takoradi
next week. We do not think it might be easy for them there as this gone
match many of the team top players where absent. Those represented HOOPS were,
Emi, Poko D, Romeo, Benedict, Claudius, Hitla, Crazy E, Boquin, Floyd and Real
Kapo. The Pelicans assault was lead by John Amu. We have decided to get back to
Takoradi and finish them once and for all. Keep posted for more details.
